In a galaxy not so far away, in a time not that long ago – legendary music mogul Simon Cowell said on Britain’s Got Talent “If we could find Stormtroopers who could dance… then this show is going into a different league” – then once Boogie Storm had finished their now legendary audition and he had used his golden buzzer without hesitation: “My dream has come true, thank you”.
It’s an accolade that few can match, and even fewer can beat – but for Boogie Storm, it was the beginning of what has since been a rollercoaster of a journey.
Dressed head to toe in iconic white Stormtrooper outfits, the six members of Boogie Storm are a force to be reckoned with. Crushing dance routines so tight they’d impress Yoda himself. The group have accumulated over 50 million YouTube hits to date, and there seems to be no sign of them slowing down. Having reached the live final and finished third in Britain’s Got Talent’s 10th anniversary in 2016, the troop have now been nominated for the best performance of 2016 at the National Reality Television Awards, as the accolades just keep on coming.
Being invited to dance at the official Star Wars wrap party with Ellie Goulding is now seen as just a scratch on the surface for Boogie Storm; they have had the honour of performing at Anfield in front of nearly 50,000 people in their home city of Liverpool, and with their reputation reaching galactic proportions, they also unleashed an interstellar performance at the AEO awards in London.
You could say that the force is strong with Boogie Storm, and you’d be right.
