BBC1 ‘All Together Now’ finalists, The Sundaes, are quite simply the ‘biggest’ girl group in town! This unique act combines stunning vocals, sensational choreography with superb comedy timing, not to mention the flamboyant costumes!
The Sundaes began their career performing for Rendezvous Casinos before touring Mallorca in 2010 for Thomas Cook with their inaugural shows, ‘Divalicious Decades’ and ‘Big Girls do the Big Screen’. Playing to thousands of people each week, they quickly became the most sought-after act on the island. In 2011 they hit the UK Pride circuit performing at Pride Festivals all over the country. During the same year they took their new show ‘Knickerbocker Glory’ to the Edinburgh Festival for a limited run. Their sell-out show received 5-star reviews and they were asked to return to the festival in 2012. The Sundaes second year Edinburgh outing saw 5-star reviews again and they were one of two acts invited onto the BBC’s Comedy Marathon.
In 2013 The Sundaes began working with The Romantic Corporation in Spain and The Balearics. They became the summer season headline act for Tui, a successful partnership that was to continue throughout 2014 and 2015. The Sundaes recorded their first Album ‘Knickerbocker Glory’ in 2014.
In 2016 they travelled to Edinburgh again to launch their biggest and most ambitious show to date ‘Diva Las Vegas’. They played to packed houses and standing ovations once more. This critically acclaimed show was so well received that they were asked to take it back to the Edinburgh Festival in 2017. They also sold out this show in the famous Spiegeltent as part of The Brighton Fringe during the same year.
As a much-requested act on the corporate circuit they have performed at many prestigious venues including The Grosvenor House Hotel, The Troxy, Grosvenor Casinos, Proud Cabaret, Malmaison Hotels, Crown Plaza Hotels and York Race Course. They regularly work for prestigious blue-chip brands and these include Hilton, Stagecoach, Red Bull and Danone. They have performed in major holiday parks all over the UK, including Haven, Park Resorts, Park Holidays, Away Resorts and John Fowler Holiday Resorts. Internationally they have performed in Mallorca, Ibiza and Oman.
In 2017 they were invited to take part in the brand new prime time BBC1 Saturday night entertainment show, ‘All Together Now’. The Sundaes filmed the series in November 2017 and the programme first aired in January 2018.
The Sundaes have supported many charities including The Sussex Beacon and The Sussex Wildlife Trust. This year they will be taking on a challenge event and raising money for Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice based in Sussex.
